The existence of a LEGO The Simpson’s Kwik-E-Mart set has now been confirmed thanks to a new press release from LEGO. The new set features nearly as many pieces as The Simpsons House, the only other LEGO The Simpsons playset currently available, and is priced just the same, at $199.99. Aside from the Kwik-E-Mart it self, other highlights of the set include an exclusive figure of career criminal Snake and a detailed model of Chief Wiggum’s police cruiser. The set will be available starting this May.

Targeted at the female market, the LEGO Elves theme is meant to complement the Princess and Friends line that have proven to be extremely lucrative for the Danish construction toy juggernaut. As LEGO strengthens its grip over the construction toy space, of which it already holds 70%, it comes closer to becoming the biggest toy company by revenue, a title currently held by Mattel. But LEGO already has all of its rivals beat in one regard: it has the highest market capitalization of any toy company.
A LEGO set based on the iconic The Kwik-E-Mart from The Simpsons may soon be a possibility if pictures on the Instagram of user lego_sid are accurate. This would mark only the second playset in the LEGO The Simpsons lineup, after The Simpsons home on Evergreen Terrace itself. While clear images of the set are not yet available, the design does seem to capture the detail of the convenience store of choice from The Simpsons fairly well.
The full line of LEGO Pirates sets are now available at LEGO Sop at Home. The new line, announced last year, currently features an assortment of 6 sets, priced from $12.99 to $99.99. The LEGO Pirates chess set has already proved to be tremendously popular and has sold out and will be available again in May. This latest release of LEGO Pirates marks the first time in 6 years that the theme has appeared in the increasingly license driven LEGO lineup.
