Faller has has added a host new additions to its line of structures and accessories for HO scale model railway layouts. Two of the standouts include, a 361 piece Bio gas plant (pictured above), which consists of an open bunker silo, two fermenters, and a block heat and power plant. Faller has also introduced a 34 piece Automated parking barrier kit (pictured below) that can be motorized with a servo motor and utilzied with the Faller car system. Both kits are now available.
Marklin has added a new refrigerator car to its lineup featuring a design scheme inspired by the popular German biscuit produced by Griesson – de Beukelaer GmbH & Co. KG the Prinzen Rolle. Part of the Start up assortment, the item number for the Prinzen Rolle refrigerator car is 44210.
Polish construction set manufacturer Cobi has added two new US Army vehicle sets from the World War II time period to its Small Army line. Both sets, the M4 Sherman, and the M3 Half-Track, both consist of 400 pieces and 2 figures. The M4 Sherman is priced at €30.00 while the M3 Half-Track is priced at €33.33, with both sets being part of the Small Army World War II subtheme.
The latest MTT set to grace the LEGO Star Wars theme has shown up at the franchised LEGO Store in Budapest, Hungary. The set features minifigures of Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Naboo Royal Security Guard, PK-4 Worker Droid, multiple Battle Droids and a Battle Droid pilot. Set 75058 is the newest minifigure scale MTT (multi-troop transport) to be released since 7662, which was released in 2007.

The first series of the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Micro Action Figures from Mega Bloks are now available. Super Megaforce Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow Rangers, two historic Red Rangers, and an X Borg from the Armada are all part of the series, along with a mystery figure. Each blind bagged figure comes with a brick display stand and an accessory. Collecting all eight figures allows for the building of the Super Mega Cannon accessory.
To celebrate its 25th anniversary of doing business in Europe, Bachmann has decided to release a limited edition anniversary pack. Available in OO Scale and N Scale, each anniversary pack will include a Jubilee and Class 47 locomotive with 1977 Silver Jubilee liveries. The Jubilee locomotive features a British Rail Lined green livery with an early emblem while the Class 47 locomotive features a British Rail blue livery with yellow ends and a bold Union Jack decal on the side. The Bachmann Branchline (OO Scale) will have a limited production run of 1000 while Graham Farish (N Scale) will be limited to a production of run of 500. Both the OO and N Scale anniversary packs are due out in either July or August of this year.
Disney is best known for its iconic cast of characters, such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Winnie the Pooh. It is no coincidence that it is these characters that will now be the literal face of a new line of Plarail sets from Takara Tomy. The new line, called Disney Dream Railway, consists of 5 Plarail sets: Mickey Mouse Western Locomotive, Winnie The Pooh Honey Cargo Locomotive, Donald Duck Marine Shuttle, Mickey Mouse Magical Express and the Mickey Mouse Colorful Railway Set. No longer the province of LEGO, nanoblock will soon be offering a new line of brick-built train sets and accessories. Aptly named nanoGauge, the new line is fully electric and not powered by batteries like that of LEGO’s power function train sets. nanoGauge is already available in Japan with a wide selection of Japanese shinkansen (bullet train) as well as commuter train and a steam powered train. Other building sets and accessories such as a train platform, additional track, train motors and power transformers are also available. nanoGauge will be making its way to American shores this holiday season. Lionel Trains has opened pre-orders for a new subway train set featuring Batman inspired graffiti paint scheme. Consisting of three cars; two passengers coaches and a powered locomotive, as well as a 60″ x 40″ track layout, the subway set comes with a LionChief that has buttons for a bell, whistle sound, and special passenger announcements. Additionally, the train set also features headlights and interior lighting. Expect to see the set out this fall for $349.99.
Kato will be releasing a seven car Alpine Glacier Express featuring a UNESCO World Heritage Special Train paint scheme and design. The set is based on the sightseeing train that runs from Zermatt to St. Moritz in the Swiss alps. The train features panoramic windows that allows for passengers to take in the breathtaking views that the train passes on its leisurely 8 hour ride. The set features seven cars, a locomotive, 2 first class coaches, 3 second class coaches and a bar car. Priced at $299.99, the UNESCO Alpine Glacier Express Train will be available in June 2014.
