The new KRE-O Star Trek line is now available in stores, and just in time, coinciding with the release of the second Star Trek movie: Star Trek Into Darkness, in theaters. The new KRE-O Star Trek line features sets ranging in price from $4.99 for a mini ship model to $49.99 for the U.S.S Enterprise with five Kreon figures. Directed by J.J Abrams, Star Trek Into Darkness is the nearly $200 million follow up to the hit 2009 film, Star Trek, which was based on the works of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry. The Holiday Season may still be months away but the 2013 LEGO City Advent Calendar has already been unveiled. As usual, the Calendar consists of a wide variety of gifts, of which there are 24. A dalmatian, a miniature train, a grill, an astronaut, and of course, Santa Claus himself will all be featured in the set. More details on the set, such as price, piece count and release will likely be available as we approach the time prior to the start of the holiday season.
The iconic United Nations Headquarters Building in New York City will soon be getting its own LEGO Architecture set. Featuring more than 597 pieces, the set will join the company of other LEGO Architecture structures such as Sydney Opera House and Big Ben. Standing 509 feet tall, the United Nations Headquarters Building was completed in 1952 and sits on 17 acres of land next to the East River in the New York City borough of Manhattan.
Images of a new 927 piece LEGO set of the Jedi Defender-class Cruiser have surfaced online. Inspired by the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMORPG, the set includes figures of a Sith Warrior, Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular and a Sith Trooper. Based on the sets piece count, the 75025 Jedi Defender-class Cruiser will likely cost around $100. Expect to see the set released sometime later this year.
