LEGOLAND Discovery Center ChicagoAdult Fans of LEGO (AFOL) are in for a treat on October 29th when the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago will host its first ever No Kids Allowed Night from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Fans 18 and older will have the opportunity to participate in a costume contest, Halloween-themed speed build, advanced model builder work shop, creative challenges and the opportunity to display their LEGO creations, among other events. Tickets are $19.95 and can be bought online.

7-Eleven will be offering up a series of 4 new Nestle MILO inspired Trexi figures as part of a promotion in its Singapore stores. Featuring designs based on MILO’s past, present and future, a new figure will be released every 2 weeks, with only 450 of each variety available. The figures are set to be available to those who make a qualifying purchase and follow a set of redemption instructions that can be completed via text messaging.

Takara Tomy is offering up a diverse assortment of Plarail, featuring everything from Steam Engines, to Commuter Trains, to a variety of Shinkansen (Bullet Trains) as October’s Happy Set toy, McDonald’s Japan version of the Happy Meal. The Plarail locomotives are compatible with the existing Plarail system; they run on Takara Tomy’s blue track and work with other train cars. Each train locomotive also offers a unique feature, such as working lights or sound. Unfortunately, the Happy Set locomotives look like they will only be released in Japan.

Bandai Shows Off Upcoming MG v Gundam Ver. Ka Gunpla

RX-93At 52nd All Japan Plamodel Hobby Show, which was held from October 11th to the 14th in the Japanese city of Chiba, located roughly 25 miles southeast of Tokyo, Bandai showed off its current and upcoming Gundam model kits. One of the most notable Gunpla models on display at the show was the MG RX-93 ν Gundam Ver. Ka, which is slated for a December, 2012 release.

At the show, Bandai also highlighted some of the features of the RX-93; such as the double fin funnel, the special base, the ability for the Mobile Suit to grip a weapon and the models points of articulation. But yet more details about the MG RX-93 ν Gundam Ver. Ka are still set to be announced next month at the Gunpla Expo World Tour Japan 2012.

Kre-O Optimus Prime Transforms Into a USB Hub

Family Mart Exclusive Jumbo Kreon Optimus Prime USB Hub

Convenience store chain Family Mart will be offering up a fairly unique product to its shoppers; a Kre-O Transformers Optimus Prime that serves as a USB Hub. Pictures on the Transformers Taiwan Expo facebook page showcase the mega sized Optimus Prime Kreon, which is slated to be a Family Mart exclusive in Taiwan. Family Mart also operates stores throughout East Asia as well as a handful in the United States, but no word yet if the Kre-O Optimus Prime USB will be available outside of Taiwan.
