Most modern Dollhouses come pre-assembled and are made out of plastic or wood, and some may argue, don’t really get the creative juices flowing. There are a few construction mediums that work well when building Dollhouses but startup manufacturer Maykah hopes to take that creativity a step further, and throw in some science and technlogy along the way with their new product line.
Called Roominate, the product line features wooden building pieces along with circuit components, allowing for a room to be built with working electrical elements, like a fan or a light. Intended to inspire girls to pursue an interest in the fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Roominate was created by 3 women with a passion for science and technology. Roominate recently completed a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign and hopes to begin putting the kits into production in the near future.
