Model of CERN's Large Hadron Collider's Atlas Detector Built Out of LEGO

A 1:50 scale model of CERN’s Large Hadron Collider’s Atlas Detector has been built by Sasha Mehlhase, a post doc from the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen. More than 81 hours were spent to put the more than 9,500 LEGO elements, costing a total of 2,000 Euros, together, to build the model. The model will be utilized to promote alternative ways of learning.
